In Conversation with Suzanne Morgan Williams
Who knew that being stranded in Reno during snow storm instead of attending a conference would be a blessing.
Several years ago I attended a wonderful little reading conference in Reno, Nevada and the snow came down fast and furious. Several authors made it to the conference before the snow closed down the conference. Instead of session many of us gathered in the common area and had wonderful conversations about book.
During one of these conversation I met Suzanne Morgan Williams. We discussed books and several friends that we had in common. I began to wonder why I had never heard of or read Suzanne's YA novel Bull Rider. Well, when I got home that situation was repaired. Bull Rider remains one of my favorite high interest books for middle grades readers.
As I started engaging in the blog once again, Suzanne reached out with news of her newest YA book, Sierra Blue. I was thrilled to hear about her newest book. She arranged for me to get a copy and we planned for an interview. Join us as we have a conversation about how Sierra Blue made it into print. We also discuss a bit about Bull Rider, how see approaches school visits and bit about her non-fiction books.
